Yoga retreat in Sinai

Last week of November 2026

Welcome to a magical week of yoga and sound healing in the Sinai desert in Egypt. In the last week of November 2026, Tal Coleman and Jannicke Wiel invites you to come along to live in simple bungalows in Rock Sea Eco Camp inspired by bedouin living. We start by mindful walking and meditation on the beach at sunrise. In the open Dome, Jannicke will lead us in a soft flow morning yoga practice. The breakfast is served in Rock Sea restaurant. You can choose to have your own bungalow or share with someone else. Bathrooms are shared with several other bungalows. Be prepared for rustic living and a simple life style. The camp is run on solar energy, and wi-fi is only available at low speed in the reception. Choose this retreat if you are ready to disconnect from the world and the internet, and connect with your own body and soul.

When?

The starting date of the retreat is not yet set. It will be in the last week of November 2026, and we will stay for 7 nights. When AmiSol travel agency, which organises direct flights from Oslo to Sharm el-Sheikh set their flight dates for November, we will determine our dates according to the weekdays when we can get a direct flight from Oslo. We will announce the dates as soon as possible.

Our program

The temperature is likely to be around 20-25 degrees in November. You choose how you spend your days - reading in the shade, coming along on a hike with a bedouin guide, snorkeling in the Red Sea, swimming, going on a boat ride - or a camel ride - or hanging out in the restaurant. In the afternoon we gather for sound healing with Tal. After dinner we may sit around the camp fire or on the beach playing the guitar and singing mantras, drinking tea and meditating. Some evenings we will have satsang, a talk around the campfire about topics related to life, yoga philosophy, the power of sound and meditation.

All activities are optional. We will have some organised trips, that those who are interested in longer hikes are invited to join. One opional day-trip is from the Santa Katarina monestary to the Mount Moses will be organised in the middle of the week, where we will share taxi to get to the starting point of the hike.

It is possible to bring your family along or a friend who is not participating in the program. They will have to book directly with Rock Sea, and will have to organise their own transport from the airport.
